Lutheran Cemetery in Stanisławów Pierwszy
The former Lutheran (Evangelical) cemetery on ul. Konwaliowa in Stanisławów Pierwszy is a trace of the German-speaking community of settlers who began founding a colony here in 1824. Families were given plots in the forest, which they had to clear and turn into farms. They drained the marshes, dug ditches and prepared the land for cultivation.
The cemetery was probably established when the colony was founded and is marked on a map from 1855. Over time the community disappeared and the cemetery became overgrown. Today only faintly visible remains of gravestones and the outline of the cemetery survive; it can also be made out in aerial photographs.
The site is included in the regional register of historic monuments. It is a reminder of the settlers who, over generations, shaped the landscape and life of this part of Stanisławów.
