Aleksandrów
Aleksandrów was founded as one of the colonies established around Nieporęt in the first decades of the 19th century. It was settled by colonists linked with Olęder (Dutch-style) and German settlement, who cultivated the difficult, marshy land. A trace of this community is the former cemetery on ul. Małołęcka.
Another important local landmark is the wayside shrine from 1900 on ul. Królewska, built – according to tradition – in thanksgiving for saving the life of a priest in a britzka accident. The area around Aleksandrów also saw fighting in 1944, after which traces of former fortifications remained in the terrain.
