The cross on the grave of the Unknown Polish Soldier stands on ul. Nowolipie in Nieporęt, near the footbridge over the Beniaminówka stream. A Polish soldier killed during the Battle of Warsaw on 14 or 15 August 1920 rests here.

His body was found a few days after the fighting by Florentyn Pogorzelski. Together with his son Jan and his brother-in-law Antoni Kawka, he buried the soldier on a nearby hill. According to a regional publication, a Soviet prisoner of war of Polish descent, who escaped from the camp in Białobrzegi in 1942 and died in the area, was later also laid to rest in the grave.

The grave, marked with an iron cross, is one of the places where the municipality commemorates the anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw. The flowers laid here honour the nameless participants in the fighting whose fate remains unknown.
