Bailey bridges are steel crossings built from modular components joined with pins. They were developed in Britain during the Second World War. They could be assembled quickly from one bank without heavy equipment, so the Allies used them to get troops and vehicles across rivers.

After the war, surplus bridges also came to Poland, where they were meant to serve as temporary solutions. Two such bridges were built over the Czarna River: on ul. Wrzosowa in Izabelin and on ul. Graniczna in Stanisławów Pierwszy. Today they are used by residents, cyclists and pedestrians.

Although the bridges are not directly connected with the fighting in the area, they are a reminder of wartime engineering and its post-war use. They also make a good starting point for bike trips towards the Słupno Forest (Puszcza Słupecka), the Marki Forests and the Czarna River valley.
